All our reels are 100% made in England other than the bearings which are German marine grade as standard. We work in microns (0.010-0.001mm) when making a significant part of our reels. All our backplates have been hard anodized to defense grade (Def Stan 03-26). All Black & Grey Spools our also hard anodized. The vibrant colored spools have been type II anodized. Having your reel scratch resistant is a definite plus.
